After a successful inaugural year, the Porsche Experience Center in LA was tasked with ambitious attendance and sales goals for year two but with limited funds. They asked Moxie for compelling social creative to break through the sports car category clutter and raise awareness for the LA facility, educate potential customers on the precision track offering and increase bookings.
To best achieve our client’s goals, we knew we would need to leverage the Porsche enthusiast social audience to generate awareness and advocacy for the LA facility. This meant we needed to activate and empower them to not just enjoy, but also engage and share our creative execution on their own social channels. We needed their fandom of the brand to spread awareness to the Porsche Experience Center in LA.
The Porsche Experience Center in LA’s main attraction is the precision driving course. With their first-year anniversary coming up, we created an ultra-dramatic “Happy Birthday” spot by slowing down the iconic musical notes and juxtaposing the sound with rapid camera movements, edit points and precision driving.
We used innovative camera mounts and partnered with a Porsche precision driver to create a spot that both shows off the powerful speed and agility of Porsche’s masterfully engineered vehicles, as well as artfully demonstrates to the viewer the thrilling experience of driving a Porsche on that driving course for themselves.
